About the Project

Alabama Nature Partners has produced its first project: a documentary based on the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, the most bio-diverse area in North America. Two years in the making, the documentary and multi-media project recorded the four seasons and their effect on the Delta, as well as man's impact and efforts (or lack thereof) to protect it.

Alabama ranks second in the nation in size of inland waterways. The documentary is based on the impact the Delta and its waterways have on the ecological health of the region, as well as the importance of the watershed flowing from the northern part of Alabama to the Gulf of Mexico. The film also addresses the lack of proper environmental protections and enforcement by state agencies.

The documentary is available for distribution to schools, on website, televised presentation, film festivals and other media, locally and worldwide.

Other projects slated will relate to the cultural heritage of Alabama and the preservation of such through visual and audio recording. Oral histories will be packaged and distributed through various media forms and made readily available for like distribution.
